Talk around Town

A personal story… to write or not to write…that is the question!

I love a personal story. I think it makes your wedding intimate and can add humour, romance… or anything you like. Where the wedding is formal is can add light and a bit of fun. The personal story can help you relax.

Your celebrant can help you create the style of story you want with just a couple of ideas/memories.

For example, one of my couples started talking about the drama in their lives and this led to a story built around the idea of a tv mini series.

Here’s the ending…

The main characters love and appreciate each other more and more as time goes on and they can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife… Is a happy ending inevitable?

So this wedding is the end of season five, and season six is going to be really exciting. The characters are strong and full of life, they are also the directors and producers of their own adventure. They know they’ve got a lot to tackle and that it’s a long journey but they have their arms wide open and we are all on the edge of our seat to see what happens. One thing is for sure today is the day that they will get married.

The best story lies ahead so stay tuned for the next episode as you may well be in it.

Here’s some sentence starters to start putting ideas together:

How and where did you meet?

What was your first impression of your partner?

What impresses you now about your partner?

What do you love the most about your partner?

What are the strengths of the relationship?

What does marriage/family mean to you?

What are you looking forward to as a married couple?

What drives you crazy about your partner?

What do you enjoy doing the most together?

What are some of your plans as a married couple?

When did you know you were in love?

How did you know they were the one?

Where and what was the proposal like?

Why get married now?

Is there anything special about this wedding date/venue?

You love it when your partner….

Describe your partner in one word

If you have a memorable story of a family member or friend’s marriage you might like to comment on the influence this has had on you.
